Maddox the Photographer

Maddox took these pictures all by himself! He's a pretty good little photographer!


Notice the presents under the tree. Maddox was concerned that we didn't have any presents under the tree yet. So, he took matters into his own hands. He got some of his toys, some wrapping paper, his scissors and tape and got busy. He even put name tags on them.

December 5

We weren't home to celebrate Briley's 7 month birthday. We flew to Atlanta to watch Alabama win the SEC Championship!

Here's our sweet baby girl the day after her 7 month birthday. She was sick with her first ear infection. Poor thing!

November

We went to "Breakfast with Santa" at Christmas Jubilee. Both kids did great and made a cute picture. Maddox didn't want to talk to him, but Santa said he could send a list. We emailed a list, and Maddox asked Santa for a camera.

He got to decorate a cookie. I think he used to whole bottle of sprinkles!




We had Britt's family over for Thanksgiving this year.

Briley had her first bite of meat on Thanksgiving Day. It was turkey, of course!

We got our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving this year.

Maddox loves cooking and doing art projects right now. So, making this gingerbread house was a thrill for him!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Briley!

Has it really been 6 months already?!? Where did my tiny baby go?

Briley is sitting up really well now. She grabs EVERYTHING in sight! She spilled a whole cup of coffee the other day.
She LOVES to play with Maddox's toys. He is actually pretty good at sharing. If she grabs something that he wants, he'll give her something else. She's ok with that right now, but probably not for long!

October 31st

Since Halloween was on a Saturday this year, we wanted to do something fun as a family. Well, it was a cold, rainy day, so we decided to go to the Exploreum.

First, we had lunch at McAlister's and Briley sat in a highchair for the first time!

When we got to the Exploreum we played in the "Wharf of Wonder".


Then, we headed to the Bob the Builder exhibit.

Maddox was a little scared, but he did give Bob "five".

After the Exploreum, we went to Mimi and Pops and got the kids into their cute costumes!

We did some "trick-or-treating" around their neighborhood, went to Bae and Grandad's house, then headed home for more fun. Maddox really enjoyed it this year. We have been playing "trick or treat" at home all week!

In August, we had Briley's first sitting for her baby plan. She was NOT happy about it! She screamed her head off before we even got started. She finally fell asleep in my arms, and we ended up getting a beautiful picture!

Pumpkin Patch and Seward Farms

A couple of Saturdays ago, we went to the pumpkin patch to buy our pumpkins.










Last Saturday, we went to Seward Farms. We had a good time, even though Maddox was scared to do anything! It was probably bad parenting on our part, but we forced him to go on the hay ride. The tractor went 2 mph at the most! Just look at his face:
Of course, he's been playing "hayride" on the couch every day since then!!

He did have fun playing in the box of corn:

What a fun day! Oh, by the way, Briley stayed with Bae and Grandad because it was such a cold and windy day. I'm sure she'll join us next year!
